We went on multiple tours with Musa during our honeymoon in Zanzibar. He was a very informative, professional, and a warm friendly guide. He allowed us to experience the beautiful country in so many ways. We enjoyed the spice tour, the prison island tour, Stone Town tour, Jozani Forrest, and a sunset sailing. Every day was full of memories we will cherish. His expertise and familiarity with the town was very helpful and made for the best trip we could hope for. We can’t wait til the day when we can return again, and would recommend Musa without hesitation to anyone planning a trip to Zanzibar.
When I was in Zanzibar (!!! Zanzibar !!!) This group and Mussa Shaban, were my tour guides. They picked us up and took us everywhere. Periods of walking, shopping, looking at the sites. Like Freddie Mercury’s birthplace. Who knew..? They took us to lunch in town; although, of course, we had the option of returning to the hotel where they would pick us up again after lunch to continue the tour. How nice is that? We were there for several days and went with them almost all of those days. When we moved on to another hotel not in town but on the beach, they drove us and explained everything we saw along the way. It was spectacular. They speak excellent English if that’s your language. They also explained what was being said to us in Swahili. Most of which was greetings and welcomes. I love them. Give them a call they will take care of you.
Being from Western Canada, we have very little experience in environments such as East Africa. Our guide, Mr. Mussa Shaaban, is highly knowledgeable, professional, polite, patient and has a good sense of humour. Our tour of Stonetown was well done and informative. Lukmaan Swahili Cuisine is a must go.
